This Evening Lance and I had the great privilege of going out on a date by ourselves thanks to my lovely friend, Erica who was willing to graciously watch Jeffrey.
The New Harry Potter Movie came out and both of us wanted to see it.
Lance has read through all of the books and I have read up to Book 4, but have seen all the previous movies.
It wasn't until we were in the theater when many things began to come to me about Harry Potter.
So many times we try to justify things. I know I've justified H.P. and reading the books by doing a comparison of Jesus to Harry. We want to bring Jesus into everything.... Like saying Harry Potter is about Light and darkness and you can do a parallel of it. However there are just some things that I truly BELIEVE that JESUS does not want to have any PART OF. He doesn't want us to drag him into it. I learned tonight that Harry Potter is one of those things.
I realized a few things tonight as I was watching that movie. It first started with that intense feeling in my stomach which I call it my "discernment knot" It always comes to me when something is just not right....
Then Ephesian 5:11-12 came into my head. "Have nothing to do with the deeds produced by darkness instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things these people do in secret."
I had heard many times before that in the book they use real enchantments and spells. I read tonight that most of the names in the book are the names of real demons.
In Deuteronomy 18 The Father warns us when we enter the Land of the Goheim (Gentiles) that we are not to follow any of the abominable practices of those nations. Those who make their sons or daughters pass through the fire, a diviner, soothsayer, enchanter, sorcerer spell caster consulter of ghosts or spirits. For those who practice these things (have a part of these things) are detestable to the Father they are abominations before him. The Lord calls us up out of these things and asks for us to be wholly fully devoted to him.
I do not desire for there to be any darkness in me. I don't want to have any part of anything that is detestable to my father or hurts him. My prayer has been for the last several weeks that YHWH would open my eyes to anything in my life that has pagan origins anything in my life that is not completely Glorifying to him so that I might get rid of it.
There's been alot of things I've had to throw out. Even just decorative things which I just don't want to be apart of my life anymore. It's scary how many PAGAN things are in my house much less the world we live in everyday. We are surrounded in Babylonian Culture, but the scariest part is we have NO IDEA.
I gotta say it really hasn't been as difficult as I thought it might be. It's quite freeing to rid yourself of false pagan things. I'm so grateful for a husband who supports me and walks beside me in these things and as I learned tonight is often feeling the same thing/(s) I'm feeling at the same time. Praise YHWH for that. It's such a blessing to be equally yoked to a man who Loves the Father and seeks to be more like his son.

MY LITTLE LION
So I saw this cute little lion costume online and just had to attempt to make it.
I don't get the creative bug too often but when it comes around it usually works out pretty good ;) I was very pleased with how it turned out.
It consists of two mop heads which I Velcroed to a brown hoodie then I created some ears and paws from felt. We went to the Zoo and met up with Lance's cousin Amy and her boys. Jeffrey and Brendan are only two days apart; Brendan ended up coming as a giraffe and with Jeffrey as a Lion we had ourselves our own little ZOO ;) These boys are so precious!!

GO BUFFS!!!! So I am A West Texas A&M Buffalo Alum... ;) Loved this school and now our little sister Lexie Terrell is there about to start nursing school and Lance's Twin Sister Tori is finishing up her degree there and looking at starting her master's. Great School!! Alot of small west texas town kids make it up but it's really starting to grow alot bigger now! I loved it because no matter where I was if I was on campus I was sure to run into someone I recognized or knew. Just as if you were in a small town.
It's where Lance and I first met. GREAT GREAT GREAT SCHOOL. And by the time Jeffrey gets to that age who knows how big it will be. It's growing up fast! Just like our little Man.

A Passion for Missions
I went into nursing with the vision of living in a 3rd world country. Thinking of Africa and serving overseas is what helped me survive nursing school. In so many ways I'm discouraged that we're not out in the "mission field" you know 3rd world country style that is. It is kinda what I envisioned my life's work to be. This morning during the Worship they played a song by David Crowder which has the Lyrics are as follow:Take my heart, I Lay it down
At the feet of you whose crowned
Take my life, I'm letting go
I lift it up to You who's throned
And I will worship You, Lord
Only You, Lord
And I will bow down before You
Only You Lord
Take my fret, take my fear
All I have, I'm leaving here
Be all my hopes, be all my dreams
You're my delights, be my everything
And It's just you and me here now
Only you and me here now"
So after we got back from our Mission trip in 2006 from Africa my friend put this song with a slideshow and hearing it today brought up those memories and it broke me.
I had such vision and such incredible PASSION for ministry for AFRICA.
But through this past year God has really spoken to my heart to be content here in Waco. He's settled us down into a beautiful home something I never would have dreamed in my life I'd be living in. (a shack in Africa seemed more fitting for me.... so i thought) And He has taught me how not only to be content in my current job situation but is en stilling passion into me for this type of ministry. I'm learning my passion for Africa was misplaced. My passion first and foremost MUST Always be FOR JESUS CHRIST. There is no other worthy. And then secondly for the two fantastic men in my life my husband and son and then to my work which is so needy and hungry for the Lord. If only I could change the passion I feel towards Africa and apply that to my work. This is my prayer and my desire and I believe that everyday the Lord is transforming me. And changing my passions first for him then for his people.
My Desire truly is to just simply live passionately for him.

One Year and Two Months
Since I missed my one year mark I figured I'd give the 1 year and 2 month overview....
Alot has taken place in our lives since we decided to move down to Waco and begin our new life here.
Moved to Waco in June, One week after we moved into our new Waco Apartment we found out we were pregnant.
With this news, Lance and I decided it would be best to wait a little before he started graduate school. However, we were shocked by how difficult it was to find a job. There was a time of unemployed which lasted a long trying 6 months.
During this time Lance's Papa was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in September. Then My Granny was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in November.
Lance Got a Job in January as an accountant at Region 12!! PRAISE THE LORD.
Lance's Jeep died on us on the way back home from Thanksgiving and we bought a new family friendly car.
The End of January Papa died, after a long and difficult battle with cancer. This was a huge loss to our family.
However, just days later, February 11th we were blessed with an addition to our family: Jeffrey Alan Terrell. Our PRIDE & JOY and One of the greatest Blessings we have ever received.
March we bought a house in Hewitt making our stay here in the WACO AREA much more permanent.
In May my dear Uncle Art died tragically and suddenly, hitting our family hard with another huge loss.
This Summer has already come and gone and I'm not sure where it went. In July Lance and I went to Washington DC for a vacation.
Jeffrey Started eating solids.... baby solids that is!! Gosh he's gaining such a personality and making us laugh everyday!
And Now we're already to August and on the 11th my baby boy will be 1/2 a year old 6 months I can't believe it. Everyone says they grow up fast but till you have one of your own and see it happen before your very own eyes.... you don't have a clue.
We are all really looking forward to the Fall, Football Season, and hopefully a slow down....
So much has happened this year but through it all the loss, the gain, we are grateful and blessed for all the Lord has done for our family. When we compare it up we see for every loss The Lord gave us something else in it's place. His Grace is Sufficient. For He is SO GOOD.
Jesus' Ministry
So I heard a sermon only briefly yesterday while I was in one of my patient's rooms.
The preacher on TV was talking about Jesus' life on Earth. Jesus was a carpenter for 30 years and then his ministry, where he really went out and preached only lasted for 3 years. Soooo 89% of Jesus' life he was just doing what we would all say is ordinary living. Carpentry being a son, and brother. I look at this and think how often I try to pass up my life as insignificant because I'm not doing something extraordinary. I'm not in a 3rd world country providing care for orphans or the homeless, I'm definitely no Mother Teresa or Beth Moore. But I look at Jesus' humble beginnings and I recall scripture in 1 Corinthians saying that
"God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world, and the despised things, and the things that are not to nullify the things that are. So that no one may boast before him."
30 years as a carpenter seems like a long time before you really dive in and start ministry especially if you're sent to SAVE THE WORLD. But it's those small beginnings which shape us into the human beings the adults we were made to be. So wherever you are right now in life don't ever think that it has no meaning or that you are insignificant. God is using this time, these trials, all the small stuff to make you who you are and to prepare you for Life to come.
What a good life!!!

My oh My how we have grown!!! We're now going on 4 months and we've learned to giggle and laugh and smile and coo... we're rolling over and trying so hard to pull up on our knees. He launch himself forward and often ram his head into his toy snail. He's a blast and such a blessing to our lives. We've been traveling alot lately frequent trips to West Texas to see our families. And this next week Mr Jat and I will be headed back up to West Texas one more time this summer to see my family and be in a wedding of my dear Friend Lana Terry in Borger, TX. I'm so grateful for how well jeffrey travels especially since this is our 3rd trip to West Texas in 6 weeks.
We're loving our new house and I really need to get some pictures up but.... that requires cleaning the house and like I said I've been out of town the last few weeks and when we are here and home I've been working close to everyday in order to get to have a week off at a time to be in West Texas. Bring on JULY We're ready for a break. Lance and I will be headed to Washington DC July3-7th for little get away for the two of us. Lance loves politics and has never been to DC I know he's going to Love it. I'm sure I'll learn so much about our government from him as well. He's a genius in my opinion. And Grammy is coming here to keep Jeffrey. :-)
With me working Saturdays that has become Jeffrey and Daddy's MAN Day. It's so awesome seeing how Lance has grown into his role as a father. I know it's only going to get sweeter as JAT begins to also talk and walk and want to play catch and do other fun things. Lance is so sweet with him, and can always get him to laugh and smile.
One Saturday Lance took him up to a Midway Scrimmage I can just picture lance teaching jeffrey at 2 months old all the different positions.... Jeffrey probably already knows them better than I do ;)
So we've officially been in Waco now for a full year. June 1st marked our one year anniversary! We really do love the town especially now that we live in Hewitt, a suburb outside Waco. West Texas still feels like home for the both of us and maybe that's just because that's where we were both raised. Our roots are there and who knows maybe eventually we'll move back down that way. But for now we are settled and feel content here in Hewitt.
